First. Your privacy matters to me, because mine matters to me, and I don’t want my customers to feel that their privacy has been invaded by me, or by anyone with whom I have a business relationship.
Information we collect
To send you emails, books and special promotions, we need your email address, and whatever name you choose to provide. We do not ask for your home address or telephone number because we don’t need it to deliver digital information or products. If that changes, it will be obvious. After all, you wouldn’t expect a product, like a piano, to be delivered digitally. We do not save any information like your credit card number. The only thing we save is the name you give us and your email address. Of course, you can unsubscribe from our emails any time you want, but, why on earth would you want to?
How we use information we collect
We use the information we collect from all of our services:
• To fulfill orders for books, products or other content that you have specifically requested by opting in:
• To send newsletters;
• To answer questions or respond to comments.
When you join my mailing list, I’ll keep a record of your name and email address to send you my newsletter, respond to your inquiries, and solve any issues you may have because of the contents of this site. I will use your email address to inform you about new eBooks or products that I think will interest you. I will also advise you of any upcoming improvements or upgrades that could change anything about your interaction with this site.
People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect, so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used. For example, you can share with several social media sites from the “Your Law Lady” site. Doing so does not permit me or anyone else to gather information from you. So, please don’t hesitate to spread the good word.
Accessing and updating your personal information
Whenever you use “Your Law Lady” please know that you may change your contact information at any time. You may either provide a new email address if you wish to change where you receive my emails, or you can opt out altogether at any time, and your information will be removed from any place it is stored to which I have access. If you need to change information, I may ask you to verify your identity before I can act on your request just to make sure the request comes from you personally.
We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).
Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to maintain our services in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Because of this, after you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.
Information we share
We do not share personal information with companies, organizations and individuals unless third parties need such information to process your orders or requests, such as our list server, or one of the following circumstances applies:
With your consent
We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any
sensitive personal information. We will not sell, rent or otherwise permit access to your information unless legally compelled to do so by a court of law. In that event, you will have a reasonable period of time to object to any such order or demand before your information is provided.
For legal reasons
We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Zen Virgo Products or “Your Law Lady”, my users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
We may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – like publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our services, such as in testimonials or advertising.
My web host works hard to protect my users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information I hold. Consequently, any action that requires private information such as your credit or debot card number are incripted using the most recent security available to any provider.
